It's Amazing..
Isn't it amazing that God wants to prove himself to you? He knows there will be situations that you are not strong enough to handle, and he wants you to fully trust in him as Your defender.
Has some recent incident exposed an area of your weakness? Are You discouraged because it goes to the heart of whom you want to be? Be encouraged that it is a phenomenal opportunity for God to show you his power. Give Your heart to Him completely now and receive his strength. Not only will you have all the power you need, but you will also have proof of God's faithfulness.
~The eyes if the Lord range throughout the earth to show himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His. 2 chronicles 16:9
Dear God You know my weakness's. Please show yourself strong on my behalf. I praise You for teaching me to trust in Your strength. Amen
Where Jesus Is..
Where Jesus Is..
Four year old Brianna was at the Pediatrician for a check up. When the doctor looked in her ears, he asked, "Do you think I'll find Big Bird is there?" Brianna only giggled.
Next, the Doctor took the tongue depressor and looked down her throat. This time he asked, "Do Yo think I'll find the Cookie Monster down there?" Brianna giggled again.
Then the doctor put the stethoscope to her chest. As he listened to her heartbeat, he asked, "Do you think I'll hear Barney in there?" "Oh no!" Brianna replied. "Jesus is in my heart. Barney's on my underpants."
If someone were to ask You who Jesus is..Or Where he lives could you say Yes and He lives in my heart? If the answer is no, Why don't You take a minute and invite Him into Your heart today.
God bless You..Yvonne
Palm Sunday..
Something from Chuck...
May God bless you this day ... to weep for the city! FIND THE TIME TO REDISCOVER THE THINGS IN LIFE THAT MATTER MOST. These words appeared recently in a newspaper. Was this about seeking God? Finding peace? Having harmony? No. The accompanying picture showed an elderly man, sitting absolutely alone, tending to a flower pot. I read on. “A Continuing Care Retirement Community ... Richly Deserved ... From $300,000” Then, in very small print were the words: Information is believed accurate, but not warranted. Just an ad. It wasn’t really encouraging me to rediscover the things in my life that matter most. And that little disclaimer at the end? That’s lawyer talk for “This may be true and it may not.” They didn’t care about me. They didn’t care about the truth. Their only care and desire was for their own well being. They wanted to get my money, the thing in life that mattered most in their lives. The ad was deception. When Jesus entered Jerusalem on that Sunday before the crucifixion, deception was waiting. As He rode along on a colt, crowds gathered around Him. They cut palm branches, laid them out before Him and shouted, Hosanna to the Son of David!...Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! ... Hosanna in the highest! ... Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! ... Blessed is the King of Israel! (Matthew 21:8-9, Mark 11:8-10, John 12:12-13) That day they praised Him. A few days later, they would condemn Him. Their mouths claimed to rediscover the thing in life that mattered most, but their hearts said, Information is believed accurate but not warranted. In the city Jesus dealt with more deception. The chief priests and elders pretended to be leaders with integrity, while they tried to plan His murder. The Pharisees acted like holy men devoted to God, but they were to be devoted to rules instead. The Herodian spies masqueraded as men seeking the truth. The Sadducees claimed spiritual knowledge yet had no understanding. Eleven men walked by Jesus’ side in time of jubilation, but would refuse to stand by His side in time of trouble. And one who let others think he was His friend would betray Him. In this city was deception.Jesus knew all of this. He knew the crowd was only there for the show. He knew what was in the hearts of those seeking Him harm. He knew who were liars and cheats. And He knew who would be guided by self-interest, self-preservation, and fear. He understood just how low these people were, and yet...As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace - but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you. Luke 19:41-44Jesus didn’t simply see the downfall of a city. He saw the destruction of lives. He saw the suffering brought on by evil. He saw the hatred, malice, envy, jealousy, and blind ambition of those who think only of their own well-being, who only show up for the show. He saw men and women who did not recognize the very one who could bring them peace. And it overwhelmed Him with sorrow. Near my home is Stone Mountain. I’ve climbed it on cold Easter mornings. The dark sky lightens, changing to a bright blue. The sun breaks on the horizon, appearing first only as a single drop of brilliant gold, then spreading like liquid being poured on the landscape. Slowly taking shape, the sun lifts itself from distant trees until it is finally free of the earth, ascending into the sky. It is beautiful to see. But it is easy to get caught up in the beauty of the event and never notice what the light has come to reveal. As we approach Easter, let us not be so consumed by pageants, plays, what we’ll wear, how we’ll look, or the special dinners, lunches, and times with friends and family that we forget what was foremost on Jesus’ mind when He entered the city. There are lives all around us that are broken - men, women and children alone and suffering - people desperate for the love and peace that can only come from God. As Jesus entered the city, He saw them...He saw you and me...and He cried when He saw our pain.Jesus loves us. This Information is believed accurate, and is warranted. Let others know.Take care and be God’s, Chuck
